Are You Sanguine, Phlegmatic, Choleric or Melancholic?

According to Carl Jung (1923) people are either extroverts or introverts. He takes into account their intelligence, thinking, feelings, intuition and sensation to see what personality they have. But, more specifically, some people are sanguine, phlegmatic, choleric or melancholic. But, what do these terms mean?

Those more precise types of personalities come from Hippocrates. Firstly, he mentioned "blood" describing Sanguine personality type which means that a person has positive thinking even in difficult situations. Secondly, there is "phlegm" describing phlegmatic personality type of person who is calm and unemotional. Third type is "yellow bile" describing choleric personality which concerns bad-tempered people who get easily irritated. Lastly, there is a "black bile" personality of melancholics who feel and express sadness.

It is useful to think about what personality you have to accept your own behaviour which maybe brough you worries before or to be able to change it.
