The Most Famous Dogs Ever

1. Boo was one of the most famous dogs recently because of his sweet look. This Pomeranian had plenty of followers on Instagram and Facebook as his owners shared his pictures online. He could often be seen with his best friend Buddy. The 'World's Cutest Dog' died in 2019 after his friend Buddy passed away. He died of a broken heart, his owner say.

2. Another famous dog was Lassie. It was a fictional character everyone has heard about because there has been a film called 'Lassie Come Home'. This female Rough Collie dog was played by a dog called Pal. Some people probably do not know that the film was based on a novel written by Eric Knight.

3. Laika is another dog which became well known because it was the first animal to orbit the Earth. This Russian dog was launched on a spacecraft called Sputnik 2 on 3 November 1957. Sadly, she died shortly after her journey began from overheating. This dog was a hero and it had its own monument in Moscow created in her honour in 2008.
