A Motorcyclist Dies Instantly in a Crash

A man died recently while riding a motorcycle.  An inquest at the Coroner's Court relating to his death was carried out on the 31st of October 2017.  But, what exactly happened?

A witness testified that while driving a car with his wife he saw a motorcycle passing him. He said that the motorcyclist was probably riding at about 60 miles per hour. After a certain distance the driver saw something on the road which looked like a trash bag. But, he quickly realised that it was a
body so he ran there to see if he can help. Unfortunately, he couldn't. It was too late. That man died instantly from an impact as he collied with a tractor.

The witness then further testified that he had checked on the tractor driver. He found him in shock so he comforted him by saying that it was not his fault.

The tractor driver testified in the court as well. Clearly upset he said that he did not even see the motorcycle until it hit his tractor while he was making a right turn. Questioned by the judge he further explained that nothing distracted him at that time and that he was travelling as usually.

The road and weather were also not a reason for the accident. It is because there were proper signs on the road which was also in a good condition, police officer testified. The conditions on the road were also good.

One of the issues which probably contributed to the man's death was that he was wearing googles which limited his vision by 75% as that amount of light had been blocked. Additionally, there were a lot of trees around that area which created shadows as so further reduced his visibility.

So, the coroner found that that man died in a car accident and that the cause of his death was head and chest trauma, as a medical report says. Probably, the accident occured because he was speeding and because of his reduced vision at that time.
