John of God Indicted For Rape

Famous Brazilian healer John of God who's real name is Jao Teixeira de Faria has been indicted for rape and sexual abuse of 600 women, according to the federal prosecutor's office in the state of Goias.

39 year old woman is the last alleged victim of this healer. She told the police that on 24 Oct 2018 he invited her for a private session. It was supposed to take place at the Casa de Dom Inacio de Loyola healing centre in Abadiania. But, she says that when they were inside he turned the lights off and abused her.

Valdemir Pereira, the Goias State police chief said that it was his 'modus operandi' to invite women for private healing sessions to sexually abuse them. Alleged victims are between 6 and 67 years old.

Faria denies abusing anyone and says that he does not even remember some of them. Bu, if found guilty he could face between two to six years of imprisonment.

But, to find out whether he is in fact guilty we have to wait for the trial.
