Minor Car Accident Resulted in Serious Consequences

This year a small accident happened in Boston UK which surprisingly had numerous and serious consequences. But, what exactly happened?

A woman was driving with her husband next to her, and her son, her friend, and her friend's daughter behind them in passengers seats. She was not careful and so she misjudged how much space she has to make a turn. She made a left turn from the main road to the side street and she hit another car which was waiting there to enter the main road.

The impact was very loud and children started to cry immediately. She was in shock and could not even recollect the extent of damages to her or to the other car. She just knew that the airbags went on and that children needed to be taken care of. So, she went to check on her son while her friend checked how her daughter was feeling. In the meantime, the driver's husband went to talk with the other driver. After an exchange of information they all continued with their journeys.

Because of this incident nealy everyone suffered. The woman had a chest pain and a headache as a result while her husband suffered a more severe injury as he had to attend several physiotherapies because of pain in his neck. Their child also suffered but in a different way. He started to wet his bed and for some time after the accident he was frightened to go into a car. The driver's friend also suffered a serious injury to her knee and she had to attend physiotherapy.

After the crash, the driver insisted that she was driving slowly and that she was not distracted by her cellphone or anything else. It means that lack of appropriate attention on the road led to this incident. Nevertheless, she was responsible for the accident and it is regrettable that children were involved and that they had to suffer not only pain but also stress and psychological injury.

So, every driver should be very careful on the road even if manouvers he/she makes are simple and at a low speed. It is because we are only humans and so we make mistakes consequences of which others (and in the worst scenario children) are going to bear.
