Racism Through Abortion
Black people are primary target of abortion clinics in the
US, although Planned Parenthood denies it.
Nevertheless, an African American Pastor Clenard Childress, head of the
pro-life organization L.E.A.R.N. claims that abortion clinics target black
Americans for abortions.
It is because according to Protecting Black Lives (an
outreach of Life Issues Institute) 79% of all Planned Parenthood’ abortion
facilities are located within a walking distance of African American or
Hispanic communities.
He also notes hypocrisy of Planned Parenthood as it stands
with the Black Lives Matter movement while it targets black people to have
abortion.
Because of locations of abortion facilities Rev. Arnold
Culbreath, Director of Protecting Black Life and a founding member of the National
Black Pro-Life Coalition says that: “It’s no wonder abortion remains the
leading cause of death among African Americans, higher than all other causes
combined.
It can be seen as form of racism to offer abortion to
minority groups to influence their population.
